XPS documents look the same in print as they do on the screen. They are portable, like any other file that you can e–mail or transfer using a CD, DVD, universal serial bus (USB) drive, or network connection. They are also easy to share because you can view them on any computer where an XPS viewer is installed, even if the computer does not have the same programs that you used to create the original documents.

It returns me mess code when using Adobe printer to print the XPS file in IE browser.

Don’t worry, we can use a small tool gxps.exe to convert the XPS to PDF file.
 gxps.exe -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=test.pdf -dNOPAUSE  TIP.xps

If you want to connect a remote tool to the Emulator over the TCP/IP transport and you do not install a network interface card (NIC) on the development workstation, you must install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter.

To install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter in Microsoft Windows XP

1.    Open Control Panel, choose Add Hardware, and then choose Next.

2.    Choose Yes, I have already connected the hardware, and then choose Next.

3.    From the Installed hardware list, select Add a new hardware device, and then choose Next.

4.    Choose Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced), and then choose Next.

5.    From the Common hardware types list, select Network adapters, and then choose Next.

6.    From the Manufacturer list, select Microsoft.

7.    From the Network Adapter list, select Microsoft Loopback Adapter, and then choose Next.

8.    Choose Next, and then choose Finish.

To install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter in Microsoft Windows 2000

1.    Open Control Panel, choose Add/Remove Hardware, and then choose Next.

2.    Choose Add/Troubleshoot a device, and then choose Next.

3.    From the Devices list, select Add a new device, and then choose Next.

4.    Choose No, I want to select the hardware from a list, and then choose Next.

5.    From the Hardware types list, select Network adapters, and then choose Next.

6.    From the Manufacturers list, select Microsoft.

7.    From the Network Adapter list, select Microsoft Loopback Adapter, and then choose Next.

8.    Choose Next, and then choose Finish.

bugzilla安装步骤（For RHEL AS4）：

先装apche-1.3.34
解压：tar zxvf apache-1.3.34.tar.gz
安装：./configure –prefix=/usr/local/apache –enable-module=so

（修改httpd.conf文件，在”DefaultType text/plain”下添加一行”AddDefaultCharset GB2312″）

再装mysql-4.0.26
解压：tar zxvf mysql-4.0.26.tar.gz
安装：./configure –prefix=/usr/local/mysql –with-charset=gbk
建bugs数据库和bugs用户：grant all privileges on bugs.* to ‘bugs’@'%’ identified by ‘bugs’;

最后解压bugzilla到/usr/local/下面

# cd /usr/local/bugzilla
# ./checksetup.pl

安装缺少的perl模块：

Today I built a CVS server on Windows 2000 server.

I have built CVS servers on Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Linux before, so this task’s easy for me.

Here is my note just for Windows:

1. Check the format of disk where your CVS repository is to be placed in. It should be NTFS. Use convert C:/FS:NTFS to convert FAT32 to NTFS.

2. Install CVSNT.

3. Start configuration

execute “net user cvsuser password /Add ” to add a windows account which cvs users are mapped to. More than one account can be created to get different privileges.

Use “Security” Tab of “Folder Options” to grant privileges to those new account.

Command:

set CVSROOT = D:\cvsbase

cvs passwd -a -r cvsuser rex.leed (map rex.leed to windows account cvsuser)

cvs co CVSROOT

notepad cvswarppers

add some text to cvswarppers (you can find it the attached zip file)

cvs commit

You can use the CVS now. :) I won’t tell you how to use CVS.

In U.S., it is interesting that you could find a pharmacy named CVS also.
