Let’s get started talking about the My Documentum family of products. One of the first clients we have releasing as part of this brand/family is My Documentum for Microsoft Outlook. You have all heard about it and as I can tell from my email, are excited and awaiting the product’s release. My Documentum for Microsoft Outlook is the new release of the DCO (Documentum Client for Outlook) product. This new release has been completely re-architected. Where DCO 5.3 was WDK – based and is only compatible with the Documentum 5.3 WDK-based webservers, My Documentum for Microsoft Outlook is natively integrated with the Microsoft Outlook interface and works with Content Server s 5.3 SP6, 6.0 SP1, and 6.5 SP1. DCO 5.3. Therefore, for customers looking to leverage Documentum capabilities from within the Outlook interface, My Documentum for Microsoft Outlook is the client to purchase. Changing the name reflects the significance of this new release. It is also in keeping with the My Documentum brand, which will include:

  • My Documentum for Desktop (formerly FSS)
  • My Documentum for Offline
  • My Documentum for Microsoft SharePoint

…and more…
